Reception for art show will include music and children’s activities

NILES — The Art Outreach Gallery in the Eastwood Mall will have a closing reception for the gallery’s Year End Show from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The reception will feature an acoustic performance by Jimmy Martin and art classes and face painting for the children. The gallery is made possible by donations from the Warren Junior Women’s League and the Eastwood Mall.

The Year End Show features artwork in media such as painting, photography and sculpture, as well as printmaking and graphic design.

All artwork is for sale, and the artists receive 100 percent of the proceeds.

The youth gallery is exhibiting art by pupils from schools from Trumbull and Mahoning counties.

The gallery is located along the concourse between Macy’s and JC Penney’s.

Hours of operation are Friday 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday 1 to 10 p.m., and Sunday 1 to 6 p.m. All exhibits are free and open to the public.

The gallery’s next exhibit will be by Youngstown State University advanced art students and opens Jan. 23.
