Boardman man charged with selling alcohol to a minor

YOUNGSTOWN — Members of the Vice Squad arrested Aleze Jamil at the Belmont Drive Thru and charged him with selling alcohol to an underage person. Jamil, 49, of Locust Drive, Boardman, was arraigned today in municipal court and will be back in court Jan. 15 for a pretrial hearing. Police waited while a 19-year-old cooperating witness went through the drive through at 1840 Belmont Ave. Wednesday evening and came out with a 22-ounce bottle of beer. The witness then identified Jamil as the person who made the sale, reports show. Police said Jamil asked no questions prior to selling the beer but did stick his head out the drive-through window to look up and down Belmont.
