Police seek help locating missing woman
AMESHA LEWIS LEFT 332 E FLORIDA ON 12/7/08 AT APPROX. 4:05AM AFTER GETTING INTO AN ARGUEMENT WITH HER BOYFRIEND. MS. LEWIS BOYFRIEND BELEIVED THAT SHE WAS JUST LEAVING THE RESIDENCE TO CALM DOWN. THE BOYFRIEND STATED LEWIS IS BI POLAR AND REFUSES TO TAKE HER MEDICATION, SHE ALSO HAD A BABY THREE WEEKS PRIOR AND COULD BE SUFFERING FROM POST PARDOM DEPRESSION. YOUNGSTOWN — Your help is needed to locate 22-year-old Amesha Lewis, a new mother who is off her bipolar medication and who went missing from her home at 332 E. Florida Ave. around 4 a.m. Dec. 7 after getting into an argument with her live-in boyfriend. He thought she was just leaving the residence to calm down and would return.
Lewis had given birth three weeks prior to leaving home and could be suffering from postpartum depression. She left the baby with her boyfriend, said Capt. Kenneth Centorame, chief of detectives.
Lewis is black, 5 feet 6 inches and 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing black jogging pants, black coat, brown boots, black skull cap and brown hoodie. She left on foot with only a few personal items, Centorame said. She has been spotted in the area of Glenwood Avenue and Canfield Road. Lewis is originally from The Bronx, N.Y. and has no relatives in this area. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Sgt. Ron Rodway at (330) 742-8251.
