CANFIELD
Dec. 29
Assault: A 47-year-old Canfield man was arrested at the El Patio Motel, 485 W. Main St., for assaulting a woman who was found on the ground outside his room. The woman was taken to St. Elizabeth Emergency Care in Austintown for X-rays and evaluation. The man also was charged with misuse of 911 after he called the emergency number several times to report he wanted a person to be removed, never gave his address and then hung up.

Abusing harmful intoxicants: Police arrested a 27-year-old Lisbon man for abusing harmful intoxicants at the El Patio Motel after they found seven cans of dust remover in his room.
Jan. 1
Drug abuse: Police charged a 53-year-old Lisbon man with drug abuse and possession at the BP gas station, 599 E. Main St., after police found a burnt spoon with suspected heroin residue and a small bag of suspected heroin in the console of his car.

Criminal damaging: Twelve feet of yard was reported damaged in the 4000 block of Warwick South.
Property damage: A vehicle was damaged by high winds at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Unauthorized use of motor vehicle: A male is a suspect in the unauthorized use of a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier at a home in the 40 block of Atlanta Avenue.
Theft: Unauthorized withdrawals were made from a victim’s checking account at a home in the 2000 block of South Turner Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched at a home in the 4000 block of Selkirk Avenue.
Theft: A barrel assembly was stolen from The Clean Spot, 1432 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: An air compressor was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Oakview Avenue.
Drug offense: Police charged a 20-year-old Austintown man with possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana after an auto accident in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Pine Trace Drive.
Theft: A quantity of pain patches were taken at GetGo, 5163 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal mischief: A house was spray-painted in the 20 block of Placid Boulevard.
Fraud: A credit/debit card was used fraudulently at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A male suspect took socks at Big Lots, 4341 Kirk Road.
Dec. 31
Burglary: The south door of a home in the 30 block of South Wickliffe Circle was kicked in and the home was ransacked.
Bad check: A check was drawn on a closed account by a male suspect at Flynn’s Tires, 4985 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A television and other merchandise were stolen at Wal-Mart.
Theft: A tote bag with drugs was reported stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.
Burglary: A burglary was discovered at a home in the 3000 block of Frederick Street by police conducting a vacation check for the homeowner, who was out of town.
Unauthorized use: Police arrested a man who attempted to flee in a U-Haul truck he was using without authorization at Pilot Oil,1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road. The truck should have been returned Nov. 28.
Unauthorized use: A 2005 GMC Sierra was recovered and a woman was accused of taking it and also taking a debit card at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Disorderly while intoxicated: A male suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct and intoxication at South Meridian and Burkey roads.
Disorderly and intoxicated: A male suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct while intoxicated in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.
Breaking and entering: The employee office was forced open at Wedgewood Coin Laundry, 4286 New Road.
Criminal damaging: The lawn and lighting were damaged at a home in the 7000 block of Backwater Drive.
Criminal damaging: Four vehicle tires were damaged at a home in the 3000 block of Evelyn Avenue.
Felonious assault: A Youngstown man reported he was beaten by men at a party at a home in the 1000 block of Woodhurst Drive and one of the men also hit him in the face with a pistol.

Menacing: Threats were made by an unidentified man at a home in the 5000 block of Madrid Drive.
Disorderly conduct: Police charged a man with disorderly conduct at an apartment in the 50 block of Westminster Ave.
Theft: A former employee was involved in a theft of Lipton iced tea and a Red Bull can at McQuaids, 5160 Mahoning Ave.
Breaking and entering: Five trucks and three trailers were broken into at Boak & Sons, 75 Victoria Road. Suspects entered through a fenced-in area.
Aggravated menacing: Threats were made by an ex-boyfriend at a home in the 6000 block of Smith Street.
Fraud: A woman received a hospital bill in her name from Kentucky at a home in the 3000 block of Robert Frost Drive.
Recovered property: Two credit cards were recovered at Regal Cinema, 6020 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: An unauthorized withdrawal reportedly was made from an account at an ATM. The owner lives in the 1000 block of Laurelwood Place.
Theft: A Sony big screen TV was stolen from a vehicle at Conti Dance Studio, 1739 S. Raccoon Road.
Stalking: An ex-boyfriend is accused of making threats at a home in the 400 block of Westgate Boulevard.
Drug offense: A Warren man was arrested for possession of heroin and a syringe at North Meridian Road and Oakwood Avenue. Jewelry was also found in a pillowcase in his vehicle.

Drug offense: A Boardman man was issued a summons for drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at State Route 46 and Clarkins Road.
Burglary: Numerous items were taken at a home in the 30 block of North Edgehill Avenue.
Breaking and entering: An undisclosed amount in coins was taken from Crossroads Church, 554 S. Meridian Road.
Criminal damaging: A rear vehicle window was broken out at Auto Profile, 6617 Mahoning Ave.
Drug offense: A Boardman man was charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia at Kirk and Raccoon roads.
Burglary: Police charged a man with a burglary that occurred Dec. 21 in the 100 block of South Main Street.
Theft: An employee was shortchanged at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Attempted burglary: A man attempted to force entry into a home in the 1000 block of North Beverly Avenue. He was tracked by a K-9 unit to the 90 block of Westminster Avenue.
