Poland Rotary plans 23rd annual Chili Open
POLAND — Poland Rotary will sponsor its 23rd annual Chili Open Golf Classic Weekend as a benefit for area charities.
On Jan. 23 it will present a Chili Open Auction at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., Boardman. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the event will feature hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine, a cash bar, silent and Chinese auctions, entertainment and dancing. Golf pros will be on hand to offer tips on golf games.
Admission is $50 per person or $370 for tables for eight. Corporate sponsorship packages are also available.
The Chili Open Golf Classic will be Jan. 24 at Bedford Trails Golf Course, 713 Bedford Road, Lowellville, with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. and available at eight-minute intervals. The menu for the event will include chili, sausage with peppers and onions, beer, soda, snacks and more.
Admission is $25 per person or $100 a foursome, and includes nine holes of golf, food, beverages and prizes. There will be golf hockey, door prizes, a putting contest, a 50-50 raffle and entertainment. Hole-in-one prizes will include a car provided by a local dealership and a men’s diamond ring, and members of the Phantoms will join golfers in a chili eating contest at noon. Hole sponsorships are available for $100.
