Arrests made in Boardman home burglary

BOARDMAN — Police arrested two men on charges related to a burglary last week of a Woodrow Avenue home.

Michael D. Smith, 28, of Bank Street, Cortland, was arrested Monday on warrants charging him with aggravated burglary and resisting arrest. Matthew Miller, 21, of South Raccoon Road, Austintown, was arrested Monday on a warrant charging him with aggravated burglary. Both were lodged in the Mahoning County Jail.

On Dec. 30, two residents of Woodrow told police that five men forced their way into the home looking for their roommate. When the residents told the men they didn’t know who the roommate was, the men began to hit them. After a few minutes, the men left the home in a maroon Ford.

Police apprehended another man, Randy Colello, 23, of Leah Avenue, that night. Colello was charged with obstructing official business, resisting arrest and complicity to aggravated burglary.
