LOST REVENUE

Warren

As a result of the layoffs of 500 to 600 workers at the Severstal steel (formerly WCI Steel) mill in Warren during the first half of 2009 and the likely loss of water revenue at the General Motors Lordstown manufacturing facilities, the city of Warren expects a drop in its water and wastewater revenues:

Estimated loss of 2009 water revenue from Severstal: $160,000.

Total water revenue: $11.2 million.

Estimated loss of 2009 wastewater revenue from Severstal: $140,000.

Total wastewater revenue: $8.3 million.

Loss of 2009 water revenue from General Motors: undetermined.
