Matthew G. Zimmerman, a member of the Class of 2011, has been inducted into the Colgate chapter of the national scholastic honorary society of Phi Eta Sigma, which recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of first-year students.

Zimmerman, a sophomore, is the son of Mrs. Cynthia R. Paschal-Pulliam and Dr. Morris W. Pulliam, of Warren. He is a graduate of Howland High School.

Amy Marie Reynallt of Austintown was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society serving the university’s College of Business Administration.

She is a 2003 graduate of Austintown-Fitch High School and received her bachelor of arts degree in political science from Ohio State University.

She is seeking a master of business administration degree with a concentration in strategic marketing.

MALONE UNIVERSITY, Canton

Rachel Durst, a junior from Salem, has been initiated into the Rho Tau chapter of Kappa Delta Pi.

Membership is open to students who have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, show potential or have achieved education leadership and exemplify worthy educational ideas.

WESTMINSTER COLLEGE, New Wilmington, Pa.

Tara Pregibon, a senior biochemistry major, received an undergraduate research grant from Westminster’s Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for her research project.

Her research, “Validation of Green Tea Extracts by Liquid Chromatography-Particle Bean/Electron Ionization Mass Spectroscopy,” was accepted for presentation at Pittcon 2009 March 8-13 in Chicago.

She is the daughter of Nick and Linda Pregibon of Niles and a graduate of Niles McKinley High School.
