Garrett Trebilcock swims 3rd


CANTON — Canfield’s Garrett Trebilcock finished third in the Individual Medley race in Friday’s Division II preliminary competition at the state tournament at the Branin Natatorium. The state finals will be raced today.

In the 100 butterfly race, Trebilcock was 11th (52.16).

Canfield’s Gavin Trebilcock was 10th in the 50 freestyle (22.06) and 14th in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.35), and his teammate Ryan King was sixth in the 100 freestyle (47.86) and fifth in the 100 backstroke (52.69).

In relays, Canfield’s 200 team was third (1:27.24). Swimming with the Trebilcocks were J. Stefanski and King. They also were third in the 200 medley (1:36.35).

Canfield’s 400 relay was 10th (3:20.27). Members are Stefanski, S. Dalvin, R. O’Malley and S. Garea.

Lisbon’s Ben Haren was 15th in the 100 backstroke (54.87).

For girls, Boardman’s Ashley Aldan was 18th (53.67) in the 100 freestyle and 20th in 100 butterfly (59.97) in Div. I.

In the 500 freestyle, Warren Harding’s Alli Thirion was 21st (5:13.51).

In Div. II, Poland diver Trish Valinger was 11th (150.55).

In the 100 backstroke, Lakeview’s Emilee Gysegem was seventh (1:00.12) and sixth in the 200 IM (2:10.44). Maplewood’s Jordan Moxley was eighth in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.63).
