File consumer complaints next week at area libraries

The first week in March is National Consumer Protection Week and a representative from Attorney General Richard Cordray’s office will offer the program “Smart Consumer Resource Fairs” at local libraries.

Consumers can speak with consumer protection advocates and professionals, and file consumer complaints with the AG’s office.

Volunteers will be available at five Mahoning County libraries from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on: Monday, Newport Library, 3730 Market St. Youngstown; Tuesday, Austintown Library, 600 S. Raccoon Road; Wednesday, Sebring Library, 195 W. Ohio Ave.; Thursday, Boardman Library, 7680 Glenwood Ave.; and Friday, Main Branch, 305 Wick Ave., Youngstown.

Computers and scanners will be available at each location for consumers to file their complaints electronically or to download a complaint form to mail. For more information, call (330) 844-7519.
