Boardman became only the third junior league team to rally from a 3-0 deficit to win to stay undefeated at 7-0. Blue swept the opening doubles, but Red ran off 5 of 6 singles wins for the 6-4 victory. Maroon improved to 4-2-1 by nipping Silver, 51‚Ñ2-41‚Ñ2. Gold moved into third at 3-2-2, by turning back Pink, 61‚Ñ2-3 and last-place White upended Black, 6-4. In Tier 2, four one-loss teams were at the top, but none won. Light Blue and Gray had a bye while Crimson was surprised by Dark Green, 91‚Ñ2-41‚Ñ2 and Yellow outplayed Purple, 81‚Ñ2-51‚Ñ2. The bottom four teams went head-to-head with Dark Blue beating Orange, 81‚Ñ2-51‚Ñ2, while Brown topped Light Green, 8-41‚Ñ2.

MVP in Tier 1, for the day, was Mason Russell for his 6-4, 6-4, 4-1 wins in White’s narrow victory. Teammate Amanda Mosure was honorable mention. Tier 2 MVP was Lily Hockenberry for 6-5 (2), 6-5 (5), 3-0 wins in leading D. Blue. Honorable mentions were Ryan Zarrinmaken & Selina Yossef. Individual Tier 1 set-winners, on the season, are led by Jesse Beilhart, Jason Shoaff & Michelle Firestone, who all have 15.5. Dara Genovese leads the league, as well as Tier 2, with 19.5. Catherine Brown & Elise Eckman are tied for second with 15.0.
