ASSOCIATIONS

• The Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Chapter M, Austintown, will meet at 5 p.m. Saturday for dinner at the Yankee Kitchen, 6655 Market St., Boardman. • Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet March 11 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St., Boardman. After the 11 a.m. social, there will be a luncheon at 11:45. The featured speaker will be Edna Hanson, president of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. Nonperishable goods, current magazines and paperback books will be collected. • McDonald Baseball Association will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

• Girard Band Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the high school cafeteria.

• McDonald Music Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the high school.

CLASSES

• Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s on state Route 224, Boardman. All classmates and spouses are welcome.

• Chaney High School January and June classes of 1942 will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s in Austintown. Guests are welcome. No reservations are required.

• North High School Class of 1957 will meet for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Monday at Bedford Trails in Coitsville. All classmates are welcome.

• Mahoning Valley Civil War Round Table will meet at 6:30 p.m. March 9 at Antone’s Banquet Centre in Boardman. • Mahoning Valley Positive People Group will have a planning meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Inner Circle Pizza, state Route 224, Canfield. Individuals are needed to sign-up as Relay walkers and as booth volunteers. • Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled the following meetings: American Sewing Guild, at Jo-Ann Etc, 7386 Market St., Boardman at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for a zippered purse demonstration, and Niles Silver Thimbles, at Viking Sewing Center, 40 Youngstown-Warren Road, Pine Tree Square Plaza, Niles, at 10 a.m. Thursday for a hands-on demonstration of the old age doll. Members are to take basic supplies.

LIBRARY FRIENDS

• Friends of the Poland Library will meet Tuesday for coffee at 9:30 a.m. followed by a business session at 10 in the meeting room. Guest speaker will be Carlton A. Sears, director of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County. Hostesses will be Louise Mulderig, Bertha Eszenyi, and Beverly Chorey. Recent book and magazine donations will be accepted for the book cart.

• Canfield Republican Women’s Club will meet at noon Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Commander William J. Bailey Jr. of the Navy JAG Division will speak on ways to honor our veterans by applying their survival skills — lessons in teamwork, commitment, duty and leadership.
