Valley could get $8 million from federal spending measure

The Mahoning Valley stands to receive close to $8 million for 25 projects and programs through a spending measure approved by the U.S. House.

The Senate is expected to act on the bill in next week or two, and the president must sign it into law.

The House late Wednesday approved the bill 245-178, largely along party lines.
