Two men indicted in North Side murder

YOUNGSTOWN — Two suspects have been indicted on charges of murder and improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation in the Saturday evening shooting death of Melkanoe L. Bowman.

Indicted Thursday by the Mahoning County grand jury on charges of discharging a gun into Bowman’s residence and killing Bowman were Keilan A. Clinkscale, 20, of Coronado Avenue, and Ryan J. McGee, 22, of Superior Street.

Bowman, 24, was shot in the head in the 900 block of Delaware Avenue on the city’s North Side in what police said was a feud. A bullet from the shooting also hit a 6-year-old boy across the street in his left foot as he slept.

Upon conviction, the murder charge carries 15 years to life in prison, and shooting at or into a habitation carries two to eight years in prison.
