HOWLAND — Stoneridge said Wednesday that it lost $108.4 million, or $4.63 per share, on sales of $158 million in the fourth quarter. Earnings without the charges were $3.1 million, compared with $7.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2007. Sales last quarter were off $27.5 million when compared with the quarter a year earlier.

Stoneridge is a supplier of electrical and electronic components. It is based in Howland but nearly all of its employees are based outside the Mahoning Valley.
