A few hundred requests from the Mahoning Valley for federal stimulus package money were submitted to the state, which is serving as a clearinghouse for the money. The requests from entities in the three counties exceed $1.4 billion. Here are some of the previously unreported requests for stimulus funding.

$5 million to the Western Reserve Transit Authority for 10 gas/electric hybrid buses.

$1.5 million to WRTA for 20 light transit gas/electric hybrid vehicles.

$500,000 for 10 modified gas/electric hybrid minivans.

$1 million to the Youngstown Business Incubator to renovate an 8,600-square-foot annex into usable space.

$400,000 to the incubator to invest in new and emerging technology.

$2.3 million to Salem for a 170-acre industrial park.

$1 million to Austintown to resurface 12 linear miles of roads.

$1 million to Niles to renovate 1.78 linear miles of road.

$22 million to upgrade the Niles wastewater treatment plant.

$1.2 million for a central fire station in Liberty.
