Benefit dinner, concert at fire department hall

MCKINLEY HEIGHTS — A benefit dinner and concert Thursday at Weathersfield Township Fire Department Hall, state Route 422 at Tibbets-Wick Road, is scheduled as a fundraiser for James “Steve” Baker, who was injured in a bike accident in November, is uninsured, and unable to work.

The traditional spaghetti dinner will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and entertainment by the local bands, Sewing Machine War, and Dear Citizen, will begin at 8. Tickets for the dinner and concert are $10 for adults, and $5 for children 10 and under. Concert-only tickets are $7. Special discounts are available for families of five or more.

The evening will include a live painting exhibit by Janine Morris, a Chinese and a silent auction of such items as fabulous jewelry and apparel.
