Luncheon to salute black educators

YOUNGSTOWN — Local retired black educators will be honored at the annual “Salute to Black Educators Luncheon” at 11 a.m. Saturday at McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road.

Being honored for their outstanding service to the Youngstown area schools are Vera Bailey, Claude Bentley, Fred Harrell, Lena Hopkins and Lois Thornton.
