Makeup artist studio opens inside Monkey Biz

AUSTINTOWN — L Studio, a professional makeup artist studio, has opened inside Monkey Biz at 5517 Mahoning Ave.

Karen Blanks, studio owner, has worked in the cosmetics industry for 15 years and is a graduate of Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry.

Services include in-studio and on-location application of traditional makeup and airbrush makeup, as well as false eyelash application.

Bridal services include in-studio and on-location consultations and wedding-day application.

Area group’s program targets electrical safety

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — The Midwestern Pennsylvania Labor-Management Council is offering an electrical safety program April 1 and 2.

The program was made possible through a grant from Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Susan Hartwood Foundation.

It is limited to two representatives from each company and 34 total participants.
