YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County Recycling Division will conduct an electronics recycling drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the county’s South Side Annex, 2801 Market St.
Items accepted free include old computers, monitors, printers, table-top copiers and fax machines, DVD and VCR units, phones, keyboards and mice.
There is a $5 to $20 fee, payable in cash, for TV sets depending on screen size. No microwave ovens or other appliances will be accepted.
Learn about owls
CANFIELD — Owls’ habits and their food preferences will be the discussion topic for the Audubon Society/Mahoning Valley meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mill Creek MetroParks Farm on state Route 46.
Those attending will learn about owls’ hunting practices, their digestion process and their role in nature. Owl pellets will be dissected to learn more about what they eat. Guests should arrive at 6:30 for refreshments.

Boardman band concert
BOARDMAN — The winter concert of the Boardman Bands, under the direction of Thomas M. Ruggieri, Timothy P. Tuite, Steven C. Chambers and Michael J. Shevock, will take place March 4 at 7 p.m. in the Boardman Performing Arts Center.
The concert will feature the freshman band, concert band, symphonic band and wind ensemble along with the percussion ensemble, brass choir and clarinet choir. Musical highlights will include “Tribute to George Harrison,” “The Muppet Show Theme,” “Over The Rainbow,” “Air For Band,” “Amparito Roca,” “Ghost Train” and “Across The Halfpipe.”
Also featured will be senior soloist Meghan Class on the clarinet.
Donations of $3 for adults and $2 for students will be accepted at the door. Senior citizens will be admitted free.
Niles board meeting
NILES — The city board of education will have a community meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Niles McKinley High School cafeteria, 616 Dragon Drive, to get community input about building a new high school and two new elementary schools.
The location of the buildings, which will be financed through the Ohio School Facilities Commission, and grade configurations will be determined with community support.
