WICK-POLLOCK INN Restoration options


The Youngstown State University Board of Trustees has been given a plan for three possible scenarios to restore the historic mansion the university owns on Wick Avenue.

University Inn: $3,885,050.

Restore mansion.

Renovate carriage house as an events center.

Demolish addition.

Build sloping lawn amphitheater.

Create new paths to gardens and carriage house.

Improve Spring Street parking lot.

Landscaping and paving.

University Inn Plus: $4,377,275.

Restore mansion as an inn adding hospitality management labs.

Partially demolish addition and renovate a portion for services and support.

Stabilize carriage house for future development.

Build sloping lawn amphitheater.

Create new paths to gardens and carriage house.

Resurface existing parking lot.

Improve Spring Street parking lot.

University Conference Center: $4,392,400.

Restore mansion as a conference center with hospitality labs.

Partially demolish addition and renovate a portion for services and support.
