New Castle theater to present ‘Seussical’

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — The musical “Seussical” will open Friday at New Castle Playhouse, 212 E. Long Ave.
The show, directed by Peggy Hanna, will run for nine performances: Friday, Saturday and March 1; March 6-8; and March 13-15. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m., while Sunday matinees start at 2 p.m.
The opening night performance will include a complimentary wine and cheese party for all ticket holders beginning at 6 p.m. in the Annex Theatre.

Tickets are $15 ($12 for seniors and students, $10 for children age 12 and under). Group rates are available for parties of 10 or more.
“Seussical” is based on characters from the books of Dr. Seuss, including the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, the Whos of Whoville, Miss Gertrude McFuzz and Yertle the Turtle.
The family-friendly production is about the power of imagination and belief in yourself.
