Campbell Memorial 73, Champion 32

CAMPBELL — Germaine Somrajit scored 23 points and had 10 rebounds, both game highs, to lead Campbell Memorial over Champion and a share of the AAC Blue Tier championship. Five other players scored eight points apiece for the Red Devils (14-5, 9-1), who led 24-7 after the first period and 41-17 at halftime. Lester Hughes, one of those players with eight points, also had five rebounds and three assists. Nate Hodge also had eight points and five rebounds. Champion (8-11, 5-5) was led by David Barnes with eight points.

Newton Falls 70, Brookfield 33

NEWTON FALLS — Brian Sole scored 23 points and Todd Medallis added 18 for Newton Falls (17-2, 9-1), which will share the Blue Tier championship with Campbell Memorial. Marcus Fowler added 16 points for the Tigers, who led 31-13 at halftime. Anthony Uberti made three 3-pointers and finished with nine points to lead Brookfield (4-15, 2-8).

Canfield 82, Beaver Local 39

CANFIELD — Canfield fired in 12 3-point goals — nine players doing the honors — as the cards rolled past Beaver Local in an AAC Red Tier game to stay tied for first place with Poland. Mike Podolsky scored 15 points while Kevin Heagerty had 14, including three 3-point goals, to lead Canfield (13-5, 6-1). Justin Vrabel contributed seven points and as many rebounds and Ricky Lave five assists. Zack Murray had 14 points and Travis Lynch 10 to lead Beaver Local (1-19, 1-7).

Salem 45, Liberty 39

SALEM — No player scored in double figures but nine contributed points for the Quakers (11-7, 5-3 AAC White Tier). Phil Bennett scored eight points for the Quakers. Anthony Cleveland scored 18 points and Joshawn Dehow added 16 for the Leopards (7-12, 2-6).

LaBrae 72, Girard 68, OT

GIRARD — Matt Szorady and Brian Watkins each scored three points in overtime to lead LaBrae’s 10-6 scoring advantage in the extra session en route to the win. Szorady finished with 17 points and five assists while Waktins had 15 points with seven rebounds and Jacob Jaros 13 points to power LaBrae (12-7, 5-5 ACC Blue). Joe Augustine had 24 points and nine rebounds to spark Girard (1-19, 0-10). Mat Pagano added 14 points and four assists while Dante DelBene also had four assists.

Struthers 62, Lowellville 44

STRUTHERS — Nick Ragan scored 12 points and Nick Jacubec added 10 for Struthers in a non-conference game. Nate Jacubec finished with nine points for the Wildcats, who led 19-7 after one quarter and 31-19 at halftime. Matt Durkin and Adam Ryczaj scored eight points each for the Wildcats (7-12). Pat Minnie scored nine points to lead Lowellville (9-10), while Anthony Alfano added seven.
