AIRCRAFT PROPOSAL The Dynalifter
What is a Dynalifter? It is a “roadless” truck. Here are some of its key features:
It is similar to a blimp in that it uses helium for lift, but it also has airplane features such as fixed wings containing turbo-prop engines.
The prototype — Dynalifter PSC-4 — is 120 feet long and seats two people.
It carries heavy payloads of freight or people at a slow speed.
It has a cargo bay three times the size of current aircraft such as a 747. It can land and depart on small runways.
The Dynalifter also can provide assistance during natural disasters or wars, such as evacuation of people, fight fires and provide water treatment.
INVESTMENT NEEDED
$165,000: Complete the Dynalifter prototype, which needs more work on the frame, engines, and gas bags.
$65,000: Conduct mandatory Federal Aviation Administration flight testing and pay administrative and legal fees.
$70,000: Embark upon development of a 350-foot Dynalifter by conducting production studies, marketing and flight demonstrations.
POTENTIAL JOBS
Develop the prototype: 576 jobs in engineering and drafting.
Produce Dynalifters: 1,728 jobs in fabrication, welding, assembly, and administration.
