CANFIELD
Feb. 4
Theft: A laptop computer was stolen from a classroom at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road. Police arrested a 16-year-old male student for being a delinquent child by way of theft and released him to his father’s custody.
Feb. 5
Identity fraud: Three purchases were made using a debit card by a homeowner in the 20 block of Lake Wobegon that were not authorized. Three Alltel prepaid cell phones were purchased at a total cost of $123.85.
Feb. 6
Criminal mischief: The driver’s-side door was dented in on a 2001 Mercury Sable parked in the driveway on Hood Drive.
Feb. 7
Drug abuse: Police arrested two women on drug charges at East Main and North Broad streets. An 18-year-old Columbiana woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse after police found a multicolored glass pipe with suspected marijuana residue, rolling papers, a rolling machine, and small tins and a small bag of suspected marijuana. A second 18-year-old woman from Leetonia was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a small, multicolored glass pipe with suspected marijuana residue.
Feb. 8
Drug abuse: Police arrested an 18-year-old St. Clairsville man on charges of drug abuse of marijuana at Pizza Joe’s at West Main Street. Police found 3 grams of suspected marijuana in his possession.
Feb. 10
Drug abuse: Police arrested a 36-year-old Lisbon woman on charges of possession of drug abuse instruments at the post office, 44 N. Broad St. Police found 10 syringes in an unopened pack and a single syringe with suspected heroin residue.

Passing bad checks: Three checks were issued to the city on a First Place Bank checking account that was closed.
Feb. 12
Possible identity theft: A woman from the 800 block of Blueberry Hill Drive reported charges totaling $49.93 had been made to her credit card from a company that was sending her merchandise she did not order. The company said the orders came from an e-mail that was not the woman’s.
Feb. 15
Theft: Nemenz IGA, 8 N. Broad Street, reported a cash drawer came up $100 short after a check-out clerk was shortchanged around 1 or 2 p.m.

Feb. 9
Disorderly conduct: A man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at an apartment in the 50 block of Westminster Avenue.
Theft: Police arrested a man and woman after merchandise stolen at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave., was recovered.
Feb. 10
Criminal damaging: Four doors were scratched on a vehicle at J.C. Penney, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Forgery: A woman reported that personal checks were stolen and cashed at Farmers National Bank, 22 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Drug offense: Police arrested a township man for possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia after police found a capped syringe and medicine bottle with water and a white residue identified as suspected heroin in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.
Assault: Two women were assaulted by another woman at the Serbian Orthodox Center, 420 N. Raccoon Road.
Feb. 11
Theft: A credit card stolen at McQuaid’s,1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road, was used in Weathersfield.
Criminal damaging: Names were carved into a rubber roof of a business of Dr. Scott Petrallo, 4241 Kirk Road.
Theft: A woman was issued a summons for several stolen items she took at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A man and two women were issued a summons for theft at Wal-Mart.
Animal complaint: A woman was issued a summons for violation of the leash law at a home in the 100 block of North Roanoke Avenue.
Assault: A carload of eight teenage girls from McDonald pulled into the driveway of a home and assaulted a mother and father on the front porch in the 1000 block of Victory Hill in an ongoing dispute involving their 16-year-old daughter, whom they taunted to come outside so they could beat her up, too. The girl’s ex-boyfriend has contact with the girls, who fled before police arrived.
Burglary: A home in the 2000 block of Forest Hill Drive was ransacked.
Feb. 12
Theft: A Nintendo Wii system was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Laurelwood Place.
Criminal damaging: A man is a suspect in lawn damage at a home in the 3000 block of New Road.
Criminal damaging: Lug nuts were loosened on a vehicle, and a tire was falling off at a home in the 5000 block of Oakcrest Avenue.
Attempted burglary: A door knob was damaged on a home in the 1000 block of Marcia Drive.
Burglary: There were no signs of forced entry, but jewelry was taken at a home in the 200 block of South Four Mile Run Road.
Theft: A man fled on foot after being caught stealing at Wal-Mart.
Assault: A man claimed he was stabbed at a home in the 300 block of Wilcox Road, but no puncture wound was found in an examination at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Feb. 13
Assault: A male suspect was arrested for beating up his ex-girlfriend and a male companion in her vehicle at a home in the 3000 block of Kirk Road.
Theft: Two Ohio license plates were stolen from a vehicle in the 3000 block of LeHarps Road.
Theft: A check for $851.91 was written on a closed account at Flynn’s Tire, 4985 Mahoning Ave.
Breaking and entering: A large window was broken out of a vacant building at 1665 S. Raccoon Road. The building is owned by Market Street Leasing Enterprises.
Theft: Two female juveniles were arrested for theft at Wal-Mart, and the stolen merchandise was returned.
Feb. 14
Aggravated robbery: A man was robbed at knife point and his wallet and cell phone taken at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Drug offense: Two men were arrested on drug charges at Noday’s, 3713 Oakwood Ave. A Warren man was jailed on multiple drug charges, including possession of cocaine, permitting drug abuse in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. The second man, of Columbus, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.
Burglary: A DVD player, guitar and Cleveland Browns helmet were taken and a Sony big-screen television was recovered in the driveway of a home in the 3000 block of Avalon Court.
Telephone harassment: A woman reported receiving unwanted phone calls from an ex-teacher at an apartment in the 4000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: A victim had some prescription medications stolen at an apartment in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Criminal damaging: A mirror was broken off a vehicle at Wal-Mart.
Recovered property: Drug paraphernalia was recovered from a residence in the 2000 block of North Navarre Avenue.
Feb. 15
Criminal damaging: Rocks were thrown at a vehicle in the driveway of a home in the 7000 block of New Road, breaking two windows and damaging the bumper.
Criminal damaging: A beer bottle was thrown through a vehicle window at a home in the 100 block of Howard Avenue.
Recovered property: A wallet and its contents were recovered on Willowcrest Drive.
Theft: A wallet and its contents were stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Burglary: Several items were taken from an apartment in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.
