April wedding for Kelly Barry, Michael Sandy

HUBBARD — Announced by John and Carolyn Barry, 2272 E. Arms Drive, is the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Christine Barry, Darley Drive, La Plata, Md., and Michael Sandy, Neptune Lane, Bel Alton, Md., a son of Michael and Ren e Sandy, Lester Drive, Medina.

The couple have planned an open wedding for 2 p.m. April 4 at St. Edward Church, Youngstown. Their by-invitation reception will be later that day at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.

Miss Barry is a sixth-grade language arts teacher at Milton M. Somers Middle School in La Plata. She graduated from Bowling Green University with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education.

Mr. Sandy earned a bachelor’s degree in middle childhood education from Hiram College. He is a sixth- to eighth-grade teacher for behavior-challenged students at Robert D. Stethem Education Center in La Plata.
