Petrus leads Ursuline past East, 49-29

YOUNGSTOWN — Lucia Petrus had 14 points, three steals and three assists Saturday to lead the Ursuline High girls basketball team past East, 49-29.

Aurielle Irizarry had 11 points, five rebounds and six steals for the Irish (9-9, 3-1 Steel Valley Conference).

Briana Dawson led the Panthers (9-9, 2-2) with 13 points, 11 rebounds and five steals.

Sebring 62, Southern 35

SEBRING — Maggie Householder, Taylor Ward and Taylor Nannah scored 19, 15 and 10 points respectively for the Trojans 9-10, 6-8 Inter Tri-County League Tier Two).

Ashley Russell led the Indians (2-16, 2-11) with eight points.

Southeast 55, East Canton 43

CANTON — The Pirates (8-11) took a 22-16 lead at intermission and East Canton couldn’t make up the difference.

Mya Levels, Kelsey Tuttle and Ashley Boulton scored 18, 17 and 14 points, respectively. Felicia Irwin and Courtney Mitchell led East Canton with 13 points apiece.
