STORRS, Conn. — Renee Montgomery scored 20 points and No. 1 Connecticut raced to a 19-point lead in the first 51‚Ñ2 minutes en route. It was a special day for Montgomery as she became the first active player in UConn history to have her jersey put up in the Huskies of Honor. Her No. 20 is alongside such greats as Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird and Jennifer Rizzotti. Montgomery’s only the 11th player to receive the honor. Connecticut (25-0, 11-0 Big East) scored the game’s first seven points. Shavonte Zellous scored 16 points for the Panthers (18-5, 8-3).

No. 5 Auburn 63, Mississippi St. 58

STARKVILLE, Miss. — DeWanna Bonner scored 25 points and Auburn reached 25 wins for the first time since 1992-93. Whitney Boddie added 18 points for the Tigers (25-1, 10-1 Southeastern Conference). Bonner went 11-for-12 from the free-throw line and finished with 10 rebounds.

No. 8 North Carolina 73, Georgia Tech 50

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Cetera DeGraffenreid scored a career-high 22 points for North Carolina. Italee Lucas added 13 points for the Tar Heels (22-4, 7-3 Atlantic Coast Conference), who bounced back from a 77-70 loss at No. 14 Florida State on Friday night. Jessica Breland had 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Christina Dewitt had 10 points and 11 boards.

LSU 66, No. 9 Florida 47

BATON ROUGE, La. — Allison Hightower scored 21 points and LaSondra Barrett had 12 to lead LSU to the win. Florida (22-4, 8-3 Southeastern Conference) lost its second straight conference road game after an emotional 66-57 win at home last Sunday against Tennessee. The Gators lost Thursday at No. 24 Vanderbilt, 84-68.

No. 11 Maryland 67, Rutgers 47

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Marissa Coleman had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lift Maryland to its fifth straight victory. Kristi Toliver scored 18 for the Terrapins (21-4), who bolted to a 14-2 lead and never trailed in their 32nd consecutive win at home. Coleman went 5-for-12 from the floor but made 12 of 14 free throws.

No. 13 Texas 55, No. 16 Iowa State 52

AMES, Iowa — Earnesia Williams scored with 24 seconds left to help Texas rally for its fifth straight win. Erika Arriaran had 16 points for Texas (19-5, 7-3 Big 12), which snapped the Cyclones’ four-game home winning streak against ranked opponents.

N.C. State 60, No. 17 Virginia 54

RALEIGH, N.C. — Shayla Fields scored 19 points to lead North Carolina State get an emotional victory. Nikitta Gartrell added 15 points for the Wolfpack (11-14, 3-7 Atlantic Coast Conference).

No. 18 Ohio St. 81, Northwestern 55

COLUMBUS — Samantha Prahalis scored 18 points, Jantel Lavender had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Ohio State regrouped after back-to-back losses. The Buckeyes (20-5, 11-3 Big Ten) moved back into a tie for first with Michigan State in the conference with four games remaining. Star Allen added 13 points and Brittany Johnson 12 for the Buckeyes. Northwestern (6-19, 2-12) managed just four field goals in the opening half while falling behind 39-17. Brittany Orban had 25 points — almost double her career high of 13 — for the Wildcats, who lost their 17th straight game to Ohio State.

No. 20 Kansas St. 79, Oklahoma St. 71

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Ashley Sweat scored 31 points and Jalena Childs had 14 points and 16 rebounds for Kansas State. Kelsey Nelson added 13 points for the Wildcats (20-3, 7-3 Big 12).

No. 21 Xavier 78, Dayton 57

CINCINNATI — Ta’Shia Phillips had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Special Jennings added 17 points for Xavier.

No. 24 Vanderbilt 80, Georgia 64

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Christina Wirth scored 21 points to lead five players in double figures for Vanderbilt.
