Busy Chevrolet Centre week begins with ring card girl presentation


Between the Kelly Pavlik fight, events connected to the boxing card and two Mahoning Valley Phantoms hockey games, it’s going to be busy and hectic at the Chevrolet Centre. Some events are subject to change. Here’s a sample of what’s going on:

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 18:

• Ring girls and national anthem event

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Chevrolet Center

Doors open for ring card girls announcement and for the national anthem finals at 5:30 p.m.

The anthem competitions begin at 6 p.m.

The public is invited to this free event.

THURSDAY, FEB. 19:  FINAL PAVLIK/RUBIO PRESS CONFERENCE

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Chevrolet Centre

• 11 a.m.  – Doors Open to the Public

• Noon –  Press Conference Begins

ALSO:

• 5:30 p.m., Phantoms host a “learn to skate” program.

Doors open that time for the team’s game against the Motor City Machine that starts at 7:15 p.m.

FRIDAY, FEB. 20:  OFFICIAL WEIGH-IN

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Chevrolet Centre

• 11 a.m. – Doors Open to the Public

• Noon – Fighters Report

• 1 p.m. –  Pavlik and Rubio on the scales.

ALSO:

• 6 p.m., doors open for the Phantoms’ game against Motor City and a pre-fight rally for Pavlik.

Pavlik will have a ceremonial weigh-in on the ice about 6:45 p.m.

The game starts at 7:15 p.m.

SATURDAY, FEB. 21:  FIGHT NIGHT

• 7 p.m. – Doors Open

• 7:30 p.m. – First Bell

• 9 p.m. – Pay-Per-View Broadcast Begins

• 10 p.m. – Cotto vs. Jennings Closed Circuit Broadcast

• 11 p.m. – Pavlik vs. Rubio

• TBD – Post-Fight Press Conference
