AUSTINTOWN — Priscilla Rae Schaeffer and David Joseph Benton were married at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at Four Mile Run Christian Church. The Rev. Michael Smith officiated.

The daughter of Robert and Aneda Schaeffer, 2332 Birch Trace Drive, and son of Thomas and Mary Rose Benton, 16875 Mock Road, Berlin Center, accepted congratulations at The Georgetown in Boardman before leaving for a honeymoon in the Poconos. Upon return, they will live at 130 Sandstone Lane, Canfield.

The bride’s strapless V-neck gown featured a beaded bodice and a layered tulle split front skirt that flowed into a chapel train.

Apple red gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Ann Hafely, and the bridesmaids, Carrie Borcoman, Anna Schaeffer, Desirae Dukate, Nichelle Schaeffer, and Stephanie Benton. Flower girl was Lydia Schaeffer.

Best man was John Barricella, and serving as groomsmen were Christopher Hall, Todd Kover, Robert Schaeffer, Carmen Calabria, and Russ Calabria. Ring bearer was Alexander Barricella. Ushers were Joe Calabria and Scott Kline.

The bride, who will use the hyphenated name of Schaeffer-Benton, graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Youngstown State University and received a doctorate in optometry from Ohio State University. She is a staff optometrist with the Louis Stokes Department of Veterans Affairs in Youngstown.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information science from YSU and is a network services project manager with Indalex Inc. in Girard.
