Police disperse fight, take 2 people to jail

YOUNGSTOWN — Police made two arrests after they were called to break up a fight at Rosewood Avenue and Cedar Lane on Friday morning.

Police charged Timothy Bellamy, 27, of Victor Avenue with failure to disperse and Camalla Howell, 29, of the same Victor Avenue address, with resisting arrest and obstructing official business. Both were taken to the Mahoning County jail.

Police said they came across a large crowd running, screaming and pointing to another crowd of people heading south on Cedar toward Victor.

Police went to the group and ordered people to go home, a police report says.

Bellamy refused to go and was arrested, the report says.

Howell tried to stop police from arresting him and was eventually subdued with pepper spray, the report says.
