Guardsmen participate in inauguration panel

Several area National Guard members participated in the 56th Presidential Inauguration Armed Forces Inaugural Committee on Jan. 20. They are:

Air National Guard Tech. Sgt. Mark A. Rauschenberg, a utilities craftsman assigned to the 171st Civil Engineer Squadron based in Pittsburgh, is the son of Gary and Barbara Rauschenberg of Boardman. He graduated in 1992 from Boardman High School.

Army National Guard Spec. Todd A. Wyman, a cavalry scout assigned to the 1st Battalion, 107th Field Artillery based in Hermitage, Pa., is the son of Deniese M. Thatcher and stepson of Gerard M. Thatcher of Sharon, Pa. His wife, Michelle, is the daughter of Michael and Mary Battles of Greenville, Pa. He is a 2000 graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School, Strattanville, Pa.

Army National Guard Spec. David C. Marcucci, a power-generation equipment repairer assigned to the 1st Battalion, 107th Field Artillery, Hermitage, is the son of David Marcucci Jr. of Sharpsville, Pa. He graduated in 2003 from Mercer Area Junior-Senior High School, Mercer, Pa.

Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Francis P. LaCamera, a human-resource specialist with the 107th Field Artillery in New Castle, Pa., is the son of Karen Schell and stepson of Charles Schell of Clark, Pa. He graduated in 1984 from Sharon Senior High School, Sharon, Pa.

Army National Guard Spec. Matthew R. Leonard, a supply specialist assigned to the 1st Battalion, 107th Field Artillery, New Castle, is the son of Eric S. and Tammy Leonard of Greenville, Pa. He graduated in 2006 from Greenville High School, Greenville, Pa.

VETERANS

Officers to be elected

YOUNGSTOWN — The Tri-State Marine Detachment will elect officers for 2009 on March 3 at 7 p.m. at ITAMS Post 3, 115 S. Meridian Road. Nominations will be accepted from the floor.

Information sessions

AUSTINTOWN — Representatives of the Veterans Administration and the Area Agency on Aging Assisted Living Waiver Program will offer information on their programs at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Briarfield Manor, 461 S. Canfield-Niles Road; and at 4 p.m. Feb. 24 at Victoria House, 5295 Ashley Circle.
