WARREN — Nick Brown’s 27 points and 13 rebounds powered JFK over Ursuline. Stephen Procopio scored 11 points and made 12 rebounds for the Eagles (9-6, 1-2 Steel Valley Conference). Boo Timko scored 10 points. The Eagles led by 10 points in the fourth quarter before sealing the win with free throws. For the Irish (5-10, 0-2), Dominique Cole scored 25 points, Deante Jenkins netted 21 and Dale Peterman had 17.

Mooney 60, East Liverpool 48

YOUNGSTOWN — John Stoops scored 14 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter as the Cardinals (8-8) broke away from the Potters (9-9) with a 24-16 scoring effort. Chuck Gruber chipped in with 14 points as Mooney enjoyed a 23-20 rebounding edge. Jason Dickey and Marky Thompkins each scored 10 points for East Liverpool.

Howland 79, Jefferson 56

JEFFERSON — Jared Kirin poured in 24 points on 12 goals and added 10 rebounds to spearhead Howland (12-6). Kyle Spence chipped in with 15 points and L.T. Lanier 12 to aid the Tigers, who made 36-for-68 (52.9 percent) from the field. Drew Guido contributed 11 assists and six points. Zack Graf and C.J. Graf each had 12 points for Jefferson while John Anderson added 11.

Lowellville 70, Jackson-Milton 60

LOWELLVILLE — Mauro Amendola registered 19 points to spearhead a balanced attack for Lowellville in an Inter Tri-County League Tier Two game Friday. Anthony Schiraldi chipped in with 11 points, Joe Harris had 10 with six rebounds and Anthony Alfano 10 points to reinforce the Rockets (9-8, 6-7). Mike Bassista contributed eight points and seven rebounds for Lowellville. Bob Schnellbach hit 29 points to spark Jackson-Milton (1-16, 1-12) while Jeff Balent added 12.
