FINAL DAYS: Tickets still available for Pavlik fight next week

YOUNGSTOWN — There are still a few hundred tickets available for the Feb. 21 Kelly Pavlik middleweight boxing title fight at the Chevrolet Centre.

The tickets available are priced at $150, $200 and $300 while those costing $50, $100 and $500 are sold out, said Eric Ryan, the center’s executive director.

About 6,900 tickets are sold for Pavlik’s fight against Marco Antonio Rubio.

The bout has sold more tickets than any other event at the center, which opened in October 2005.

There are six fights on the event’s undercard. The center will open at 7 p.m. with the first fight at 7:30 p.m.

The Pavlik-Rubio fight for Pavlik’s WBO/WBC title is expected to start between 10:45 and 11:15 p.m.

Tickets are available at the center’s box office as well as online at ticketmaster.com, by telephone at (800) 754-3000, or at Ticketmaster locations including Giant Eagle and Macy’s.
