Cub Scouts take aim
Special to The Vindicator
WINTER SIGHTING: Members of Cub Scout Pack 100, based in Hubbard, aimed to please their parents and leaders as they demonstrated their expertise with slingshots during the annual Whispering Pines District Cub Scout Freeze-Out on Feb. 7 at Camp Stambaugh. The Scouts were taught how to use a compass to find their way to various locations around the camp, and then made maps of the area. They learned how to tie different knots and how to play a game of marbles. During the Freeze-Out they discovered they often had to work as a team to accomplish their goals.
