WEDNESDAY

• American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana, serves food to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday-Friday for lunch. Among the daily specials are: today, wings from 6 to 9 p.m.; and Friday, fish from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

THURSDAY

• Calvary United Methodist Church, corner of state Route 164 and 165, North Lima, will have drive-through homemade chicken dinners available from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out). Meals consist of baked chicken, stuffing, baked potato, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. No need to get out of the car, just drive up to the door and the meal will be delivered to the car.

• Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

• American Legion Post 560, 103 Twelfth St., Campbell, will sponsor a fish and shrimp fry from noon to 6 p.m. at the post home. The menu will feature fresh ocean perch or shrimp, (or combination) macaroni and cheese or french fries, coleslaw or haluski, bread and coffee. Meals are $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Dining-room or takeout service will be available. Also available will be desserts and refreshments. • Guilford Lake Ruritan, state Route 172 at Hanna Drive, Guilford Lake, will sponsor an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $9 for adults and $4 for those under 12.

• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 :30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up until 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

• Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pirogi. The cost for potato or potato with kraut pirogi is $5 a dozen. Orders will be taken from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528. Orders should be placed early and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot pirogi lunches will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

• Potato and cheese pirogi will be sold at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown. To order, call (330) 799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or after 8 a.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome, but no sales before 11 a.m. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

• Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be by 1:00 p.m. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance. SATURDAY

• A Share the Love pasta luncheon will be served Saturday at the Lowellville Rod and Gun Club, 6225 Quarry Road, sponsored by Concerned Citizens for Quality Education. Carryouts will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and sit-down meals will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for those 65 and over, and $3 for children 12 and under. There will also be a Chinese auction and a 50-50 raffle. Tickets can be purchased by calling (330) 536-8574. Ask about free delivery for 10 or more dinners in a limited delivery area.

• Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will serve chicken-pie dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals will include potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, dessert and beverage. • Girard Eagles 2172 is serving spaghetti dinners from 6-8 p.m. in the back hall of 23 W. Wilson Ave. After dinner, from 8-9 p.m. there will be a new things auction and then karaoke by Super Sound until midnight. The cost for the evening is $10 and includes the dinner of spaghetti and meatballs, tossed salad, bread, coffee or tea, and dessert. • Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 381 Robbins Ave., Niles, will sell cheese puffs after all Masses today and Sunday. The puffs are made by Immaculate Conception Society, Infant of Prague Guild and Mount Carmel Society. The cost is $2.50 each.

• St. Matthias Church, 915 Cornell Ave., will serve Swiss Steak dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Father Snock Center. Meals include potatoes, green beans, salad, bread, coffee or tea, and cake. Pop is 75 cents. Dinners are $10 for adults, $18 for a couple, and $4 for children. Each woman will receive a flower. Containers will be provided for carryouts.

• VFW Post 3307 Auxiliary, 1351 Albert St., Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The meals will include meatballs, salad and bread, and the cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. Containers for carryouts will be furnished; call (330) 746-8113. This is a benefit dinner for Donna May, and there will also be a 50-50 raffle and a Chinese auction.

SUNDAY

• Fowler Volunteer Fire Department will have its monthly pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station, state Route 193. Prices are $6 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and children 6 to 12, and free for preschoolers.

• Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 626 Wick Ave., will have a sweetheart dinner at 11:45 a.m. There will be a freewill donation.

• Roast beef dinners will be served from noon to 2 p.m. by the Men’s Club of Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12, and will be available at the door. For more details call the church at (330) 876-4485.

• The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

• Capt. Charles M. Marino Post 3, Italian-American War Veterans, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 10. Those under 6 may eat for free. Carryouts also will be available; containers can be purchased or patrons may provide their own.

• St. John Lutheran Church, 1429 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will serve an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The menu will also include meatballs, tossed salad, Italian bread and butter, dessert and beverage. Cost is $6.95 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 10; kids 5 and under eat for free.

• Southington American Legion Post 751 will serve breakfasts of sausage and pancakes (all-you-can-eat pancakes), or biscuits and gravy, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, Southington. The donation is $5.50 for adults and $3 for children from 5 to 12. Those 4 and under eat free. The breakfasts will be available the first and third Sunday of each month through April.

TAKING ORDERS

• American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for carryout stuffed cabbage. The cost is $12 for a baker’s dozen. • Austintown Optimists will serve pasta dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at Austintown Community Church, state Route 6, south of Mahoning Avenue. Meals are $6.50 for adults and $4 for children under 10. Takeouts will be available.

• Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 18 at the church. • Burton-Middlefield Rotary will be flipping pancakes in March for the 57th year. • A series of Lenten fish dinners will begin Feb. 27 at St. Lucy Church, 404 Tenney Ave., Campbell, and will continue each Friday through April 3 at the church social center. Dinners will be available from 4 to 7 p.m. and will feature fried or baked cod, french fries, macaroni and cheese or haluski, dessert, and punch or coffee. Tickets are $9 for adults, $8.50 for senior citizens, and $4,50 for children under 12. Takeout orders (adult size only) will be $9 each. Three takeout dinners will be offered as a special for $25.

• St. Stephen of Hungary Altar and Rosary Society, 854 Wilson Ave., will sponsor a pre-Lenten chicken paprikash dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 22 in the social hall. Meals include a piece of white and piece of dark meat, dumplings, green beans, bread, dessert, coffee, tea and pop. Meals for children are the same except only one piece of dark meat. Tickets can be purchased before and after Mass on Sunday in the Heritage Chapel or by calling the rectory (330) 743-1905, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under. No tickets sold at the door.
