Man shot in back during drive-by shooting

YOUNGSTOWN — An East Judson Avenue man told police he was shot by someone in a car that pulled up alongside his vehicle as he turned from Covington Avenue to Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Robin L. Briggs, 21, was hit in the back around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Briggs told police his assailant, whom he didn’t know, shot at him 10 times.

Briggs pulled his vehicle into a grassy area at Martin Luther King Boulevard and West Rayen Avenue and ran into Westlake Terrace to find relatives, police said.

He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center. The hospital had no information on his condition.
