Dice game ends in shooting on the North Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Brandon Owens, 24, of Lexington Avenue was shot twice in the stomach early today after an argument with a man he’d been playing dice with near Wick Park on the North Side, police said. Owens told police the shooter chased him to the steps of a house in the 800 block of Ohio Avenue around 1:15 a.m. and fired. Owens knocked on the door and the resident called 911. Two 9mm casings were found on the sidewalk near the house. Owens gave a description of the gunman to police while awaiting surgery at St. Elizabeth Health Center. His condition was not immediately available.
