EAST LANSING, Mich. — Allyssa DeHaan scored 16 points and Lykendra Johnson had 14 points and 11 rebounds to help Michigan State beat Ohio State, moving with a half-game of the Big Ten lead. The 6-foot-9 DeHaan was 6-for-8 from the field and had the only two 3-point baskets for the Spartans (17-7, 10-3 Big Ten). Jantel Lavender had 19 points and eight rebounds for the Buckeyes (19-4, 10-2), who shot just 31 percent from the field in the second half and never led in the game.

STILLWATER, Okla. — Courtney Paris broke the NCAA Division I rebounding record and set two Big 12 scoring marks. Paris had 17 points and eight rebounds, with her first breaking the record of 1,815 set by Wanda Ford of Drake from 1983 to 1986. Paris finished the game with 1,823 career boards. In the second half, she broke the Big 12 career scoring record of 2,480 points, set by Baylor’s Sophia Young from 2003-2006, and Young’s Big 12 field goals record of 1,034. Paris now has 2,481 points and 1,037 field goals.

PULLMAN, Wash. — Ashley Walker scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help California extend the school record with its 12th consecutive win. Devanei Hampton added 15 points for California (20-2, 11-0 Pac-10). Washington St. (9-13, 2-9) was led by freshman April Cook’s 22 points.
