Canfield issues boil alert for portions of the city

CANFIELD — The city has issued a precautionary boil order for residents on Sleepy Hollow from Glenview to North Broad Street until noon Tuesday. The city experienced a waterline break on Sleepy Hollow and advises residents to boil water vigorously for at least one minute. This includes any water used for drinking (including water to make ice), cooking and oral hygiene. The city has no evidence that the water system was contaminated, but is advising residents to use this precautionary measure.
