Date announced for Bochert-Smith wedding rite

CORTLAND — Janet L. Bochert and Leslie B. Smith III, both of 5926 Ridge Road, are announcing their engagement and plans for their upcoming marriage.

The couple have planned an open wedding for 2 p.m. May 23 at Grand Valley Baptist Church in Rome, Ohio, and a reception to be by invitation at Hubbard Conservation Club.

The bride-to-be is a daughter of Kay R. Bochert of the Cortland address, and the late Albert Bochert. She is a family caregiver.

The future groom is a vacuum technician with Quality Heating in Girard. He graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich., with a degree in HVAC Type I and Type II. His parents, Georgia and Leslie B. Smith Jr., are deceased.
