RICHMOND, Ind. — Sophomore guard Jess Cowan scored a career-high 20 points, but it wasn’t enough for Hiram (6-14, 4-7) in a North Coast Athletic Conference game. Earlham (2-18, 1-11) had two players in double figures led by Tracy Hill with a game-tying high 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting (64.3 percent). She also grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds. Nikki Darrett had 13 points, including shooting 10-of-14 (71.4 percent) from the free-throw line. Cowan shot 8 -of-17 (47.1 percent). Junior forward Ashley Drum pulled down a team-best seven boards in addition to scoring six points. In the second half, Earlham maintained a double-digit lead throughout the period and recorded its largest lead of the game of 16 points on two occassions both coming with under a minute left.
