Because of two state department of mental health subsidy cuts during Fiscal Year 2009 totaling $687,021, the Mahoning County Mental Health Board is considering $448,755 in cuts for local programs:

The proposed cuts are:

Burdman Group: $35,278

D&E Counseling: $67,750

Help Hotline Crisis Center: $18,060

Meridian Services: 10,985

Turning Point Counseling: $172,030

Adults and Children with Developmental Learning Disabilities: $3,000

Catholic Charities, Criminal Justice: $5,000

Goodwill Industries: $4,000

Family Services: $5,000

Mahoning County Juvenile Court: $9,000

North East Ohio Adoption Services: $3,152

Potential Development-Autism: $5,000

Local hospital inpatient contracts for psychiatric unit beds: $100,000

Volunteer Services to Seniors: $5,000

YWCA-Wick program: $5,500
