Brookfield police investigating death of 50-year-old man

BROOKFIELD — Police are trying to determine how a 50-year-old township man ended up dead behind a building a short distance from his home.

Police Chief Daniel Faustino said Charles Seaman, 50, of Warren-Sharon Road had been reported missing Tuesday. By Thursday, still with no sign of Seaman, police brought in a search dog to check the area around his home.

Seaman was found dead at 4:09 p.m. Thursday behind a day-care facility near his home. Faustino said there were no signs of foul play in the initial police investigation, but the case has been turned over to the Trumbull County Coroner’s office.
