Polling place changed for Beaver Local special school levy
ROGERS β The Beaver Local Board of Education levy vote today has run into a snag because village officials moved one precinct without notifying the Columbiana County Board of Elections, said Kim Meek, elections board director.
Precinct Northeast, which has 850 voters, had been voting at the former village hall. Meek said village council had the precinct moved to its new village hall at 7536 Vine St.
Meek said the new polling place is one-tenth of a mile from the old polling place. Meek adde the move βis out of our hands.β
Meek said Superintendent Sandra DiBacco was upset about the polling change and lack of notification to district voters. The 5.3-mill emergency levy is a renewal that will not increase taxes.
