Classical pianist in concert at MUC


ALLIANCE — Classical pianist Nino P. Cocchiarella will perform a solo concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Presser Recital Hall at Mount Union College.

Cocchiarella has an international distribution of recordings which have been produced by his own label, Mr. Owl Productions. Some of his works include pieces by Handel, Schubert, Chopin, Mussorgsky, Schumann, and Brahms.

A graduate of Indiana University, Cocchiarella has lectured and given master classes at universities in Korea, Hawaii and throughout the United States. He also served on the piano faculty at the University of Evansville.

Cocchiarella is famous for his “Pictures Project” multimedia performances in which he integrates his own nature photography into his concerts.

Presser Recital Hall is located within Cope Music Hall on the corner of Union Avenue and Simpson Street. The event is free and open to the public.
