Vikings roll early against Raiders

CLEVELAND — Norris Cole scored 20 points to lead Cleveland State to a 59-50 victory over Wright State on Saturday night.

But it was J’Nathan Bullock’s 10 points during an 18-0 run that woke up Cleveland State and drove the Vikings to an insurmountable 35-17 lead at halftime.

Bullock finished with 14 points for Cleveland State (13-9, 6-5 Horizon League).

Troy Tabler had 12 points for Wright State (15-8, 6-5).

Wright State jumped to a 10-4 lead before Bullock rocked Cleveland State out of its sluggish start. Bullock hit two 3-pointers, a layup and a pair for free throws in that 18-0 run while Wright State, which had won five straight, went scoreless for nearly seven minutes.

Milwaukee 63, UIC 62

MILWAUKEE — Deion James hit a 3-pointer with a second left on the clock. The Panthers (14-8, 9-3 Horizon League) trailed by 10 with 1:27 left in the game, but went on a 9-1 run on a pair of 3-pointers from Tone Boyle and another 3 by Tony Meier to cut the Flames’ lead to two with 43 seconds left. Boyle and Meier scored 17 points each to lead the Panthers. Tori Boyd scored 23 to lead the Flames (10-11, 3-8).

Green Bay 87, Loyola 68

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Troy Cotton scored 25 points and Green Bay used a 16-3 run early in the second half to beat Loyola. Mike Schachtner scored 18 points for Green Bay (17-6, 9-2 Horizon League). Justin Cerasoli scored 13 points for Loyola (12-11, 4-7).
