Rose anniversary is occasion for dinner party

COLUMBIANA — Mr. and Mrs. Doug Rose, 3599 W. Middletown Road, were honored by family and friends as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a dinner party that took place from 3 to 6 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Blue Wolf Catering in Boardman.
Invitations for the festivity were issued by their family, Douglas Rose of Boardman, David and Kimberly Rose of Canfield, and Cheryl and Chris Lintner of Columbiana. Completing the family circle are seven grandchildren, Lindsey Allen, Emily Allen, Bailey Renee Ondo, Kristen Rose, Kenny Rose, Amberly Rose, and Cory Rose.
Sacred Heart Catholic Church was the setting on Jan. 31, 1959, as Mr. Rose and the former Leona Lee Mistovich were united in marriage. They are members of St. Christine Catholic Church in Youngstown.
Mrs. Rose was a credit manager at Western Reserve Products in Boardman prior to retiring in 1999.
Mr. Rose worked 24 years as an electrician at Youngstown Sheet and tube prior to retiring 1978, and 23 years at General Motors in Lordstown, where he was a W.E.M.R. (welder electrician maintenance repair) before he retired in 2001. He is a member of General Motors Local 1112.
