Potkanowicz 50th to be celebrated at Mass, dinner party

BOARDMAN — On Feb. 7 Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Potkanowicz, 38 Rockdale Ave., will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their wedding, which took place in 1959 at St. Dominic Church in Youngstown.

In observance of the occasion, the couple will be honored during a Mass at St. Stanislaus Church, Youngstown, where they are members, and afterward during a private family dinner party.

Hosts for the festivities will be their children and their spouses, Thomas and Chris Potkanowicz of Geneva, Ill.; Daniel and Jill Potkanowicz of Poland; William and Wendy Potkanowicz of Austintown; John and Nikki Potkanowicz of New Middletown; Mary and John Baumeier of Liberty; and Patricia and Vince Baquero of Las Vegas. There are 16 grandchildren in the family. A son, Joseph Potkanowicz, is deceased.

Mrs. Potkanowicz, the former Mary Ann Morris, is a cook at the rectory of St. Stanislaus Church.

Mr. Potkanowicz was employed as a machinist with Wean United prior to retiring.
