Kohl 70th anniversary to be observed during family gathering at their home

POLAND — Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kohl will celebrate the 70th anniversary of their wedding on Feb. 3 in the company of family members at their home at 22 Lee Drive. The Rev. David Shortt of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Youngstown, where they are members, will be in attendance and will officiate at an anniversary Mass honoring the couple.

Holy Name Church was the setting on Feb. 3, 1939, as Mr. Kohl and the former Ann Tomek were united in marriage.

The Kohls are the parents of Rose Bonamase, Charlotte Baiocco, and Michael Kohl, all of Youngstown. Their granddaughters and their husbands are Jill and James Lee of Charlotte, N.C., and Sheri and Ron Masijlo of Powell; and their great-grandchildren are Justine, Joey, Nicole and Adam. A son, Lenny Kohl, died Oct. 26, 1998, and a grandson, Robbie Bonamase, died Feb. 15, 2000.

Mr. Kohl retired in 1979 from LTV Steel, where he was employed 32 years.
